Pet Aliens, Alien Balls & Pet Zones
What are Pet Aliens in Mine a Planet?
Beyond laser drone fleets and voxel ore tiers, Mine a Planet in BETA 7 introduces a companion layer: Pet Aliens that passively amplify your cash income when deployed correctly. Community guides and code reward descriptions confirm Alien Balls as the capture tool, Pet Zones as deployment slots, and Super Alien Treat as a growth consumable that raises both pet size and cash boost percentage.
Pet Aliens sit parallel to the core idle mining loop rather than replacing it. Your drones still break Azurite-class materials, haul cargo, and fund planet evolution. Pet Aliens add a secondary multiplier on cash generation while assigned to an active Pet Zone. Ignoring pets does not block progression, but players who redeem BETABETA and invest treats early often smooth mid-game income walls.
Skydog Games has not published a full public codex listing every Pet Alien species, rarity tier, or exact boost formula. This page documents verified mechanics from community testing and promo item naming without inventing hidden pet spreadsheets or fabricated catch rates for Alien Balls.
Place ID 121125129560252 remains the only verified experience for these systems. Pet mechanics described here apply to Mine a Planet [BETA 7] as checked July 16, 2026.
Alien Balls — catching Pet Aliens
Alien Balls function as capture items that let you obtain Pet Aliens for your account. Player reports describe using an Alien Ball on eligible targets or through a dedicated pet interface—exact UI labels can shift during beta patches, so look for ball-shaped icons or pet menus after you unlock the feature through normal progression.
Unlike drone rolls marketed at one-in-twenty-five-trillion rarity, Pet Alien acquisition through Alien Balls appears more accessible as a standard progression item. We do not have verified drop locations, shop prices, or quest rewards for free Alien Balls as of July 2026. Document your own session when you first obtain a ball so you can compare notes after future updates.
Treat Alien Balls as scarce early resources. If the game grants only a limited number before shop access opens, prioritize catching a pet you plan to deploy immediately rather than hoarding balls indefinitely while your Pet Zones sit empty.
Scam sites promising unlimited Alien Balls or instant legendary pets outside the Roblox client are fraudulent. Legitimate pets enter through in-game systems only.
Pet Zones — deploying for cash boosts
Once you catch a Pet Alien, deploy it into one of your Pet Zones to activate a cash boost on your mining income. Community descriptions frame the boost as percentage-based on cash generation rather than a flat ore multiplier, which means Pet Aliens scale better as your fleet income rises.
Pet Zones likely unlock through progression gates similar to drone slots or planet evolution milestones. If you have a pet in inventory but no deploy button, continue the beginner route—evolve the planet, expand fleet capacity, or complete tutorial prompts until zone UI appears.
One pet per active zone is the sensible default until Skydog Games documents multi-pet stacking rules. Test whether deploying a second pet in another zone compounds boosts additively or multiplicatively by timing income per hour before and after each placement.
Pet boosts complement drone upgrades rather than replacing mining power, cargo, or speed investments. A pet multiplier on a cargo-bottlenecked fleet still wastes cycles. Fix fleet stats first, then deploy pets to amplify an already efficient loop.
Super Alien Treat — growing your Pet Alien
The BETABETA promo code grants one Super Alien Treat, a consumable tied directly to the pet system. Community sources describe treats as growth items: feeding a deployed Pet Alien increases its size and raises the cash boost percentage associated with that companion.
Redeem BETABETA through Settings even if you are not ready to feed the treat immediately. The code secures the item in your inventory; activation timing is a separate decision. Best practice is to feed the treat when your Pet Alien is already deployed in an active Pet Zone and your fleet is mining at full efficiency so the amplified income converts into immediate upgrades.
Do not confuse Super Alien Treat with Strong Batteries from UPDATE7. Batteries support drone uptime and upgrade paths. Treats exclusively target Pet Alien growth. Using a treat before you own a captured pet wastes the BETABETA reward.
Additional treats beyond the single BETABETA grant may exist in shops or future events, but we have not verified a public price list. Hoarding one treat across multiple beta patches carries save-wipe risk common to unreleased Roblox betas.
- Alien Ball — capture tool for Pet Aliens
- Pet Zone — deployment slot that activates cash boost
- Super Alien Treat — growth consumable from BETABETA code
- Cash boost — scales with pet growth, not a substitute for fleet stats
Pet Alien strategy for BETA 7
Early session order: redeem DRONES and UPDATE7 for fleet depth and batteries, redeem BETABETA for the treat, progress until Alien Balls and Pet Zones unlock, capture your first pet, deploy it, then feed the Super Alien Treat during an active upgrade session.
Measure income per hour before and after pet deployment using the drone income calculator with your observed numbers. Pets should show a clear bump; if not, verify the pet is deployed—not merely owned—and that your fleet was not mid-reconfiguration during the test.
Pair pet investment with the farming guide bottleneck method. Pets multiply output; they do not fix wrong ore targets or empty cargo holds.
When YouTube creators publish pet tutorials, verify they show Mine a Planet [BETA 7] in the title card before trusting species names or boost percentages not confirmed here.
